Bonus Bet Conversion

Scenario

Say you used a bonus bet at a bookmaker and laid the same selection at an exchange.

You want Tracker to record both sides and calculate the actual result.

Record the bookmaker bet

Add a bet for the bookmaker side.

Set:

Stake

Enter the bonus stake.

Bookmaker

Select the bookmaker where the bonus bet was placed.

Bonus Bet (SNR)

Turn this on. The bonus stake is not returned if the bet wins.

Bet Direction

This should be Back. Tracker forces bonus bets to Back direction.

Add or link the leg and enter the bookmaker odds.

Record the exchange lay

Add a second bet for the exchange side.

Set:

Stake

Enter the lay stake.

Bookmaker

Select the exchange.

Bet Direction

Use Lay.

Win Fee

Enter the exchange commission percentage.

Link or enter the same selection, then enter the lay odds.

Save and review

Before saving, check the Bet Stats for each side. The bookmaker bet should behave like SNR, and the exchange side should account for lay liability and commission.

After settlement, confirm both legs resolved correctly.

Common mistakes

  • Forgetting to turn on Bonus Bet (SNR).
  • Recording the lay liability as the lay stake.
  • Forgetting exchange commission.
  • Linking the lay to the wrong market or runner.
