How to track cash and bonus balance changes

TL;DR

Balance changes keep the ledger honest.

Record deposits, withdrawals, bonus awards, bonus expiries, and other account movements when they change your bookmaker or exchange balance.

Balance type

Tracker supports two balance types.

Cash

Use this for real-money balance changes, deposits, withdrawals, account transfers, and cash corrections.

Bonus

Use this for bonus bets or bonus balance changes.

Amounts

Positive amounts increase the balance. Negative amounts decrease it.

and are shortcuts for simple cash movements. They create a balance-only Tracker entry for the selected bookmaker.

Bookmaker and date

Each balance change belongs to a bookmaker or exchange and has a date.

Use the date the balance changed, not the date you noticed it later.

Bonus expiry

Bonus balance changes can include an expiry date.

When a bookmaker has a default bonus expiry setting, Tracker may prefill an expiry after you choose the bookmaker. Adjust it if the actual offer uses a different expiry.

Promotion and system-generated balances

Some balance entries are created from other actions.

If a bet promotion awards a bonus bet, the balance entry can be marked as awarded from a promotion. If a bankroll transfer is system-generated, Tracker marks it as read-only because it is calculated from the saved balance changes.

Do not edit system-generated entries directly. Fix the underlying balance changes instead.
