Value Bets

How to record value bets

Value bets are bets that have a positive expected value, meaning the odds offered are better than the true probability of the outcome occurring.

Note: These are illustrative examples for you to refer to later during your matched betting journey. We haven't yet covered value betting in detail.

Example

Let's say you find a football match where the bookmaker is offering odds of 3.0 for Team A to win. You know this bet has an expected value of 12%. You decide to stake $50 on this value bet.

  • Stake: $50
  • Expected Value: 12%

Legs
