Extra Profit

Use Stallion for boosted racing profit

Scenario

Say you have a racing offer where the bookmaker boosts your profit if the runner wins.

You want Stallion to show whether the boost creates enough value after the back bet and exchange lay are included.

Set up the race

Open the race and choose:

Mode
Extra Profit on Win

Use EP because the offer boosts profit if the runner wins.

Stake

Enter the amount you will stake with the bookmaker.

Boost

Enter the percentage your profit is boosted if the runner wins.

Add the bookmaker offering the boost as an active bookmaker.

Pick a candidate

Start with EV. If the boost does not create enough value, move on.

If the candidate is worth checking, confirm:

  • the boost applies to the selected runner and race
  • the back price still exists
  • the lay price and liquidity are usable
  • the lay liability is acceptable
  • the fair odds confidence is strong enough for the decision

Profit boosts are easy to overrate if the base price is poor. Let the EV estimate guide the first pass, then check the live prices.

Place, save, and track

Once the live prices match the candidate closely enough:

  1. Place the boosted bookmaker bet.
  2. Place the exchange lay bet.
  3. Save the play with .
  4. Update the saved play if the odds or lay stake changed.
  5. Add it from Scratchpad to Tracker once the saved details match what you placed.

Common mistakes

  • Entering the boost as the final price instead of the boost percentage.
  • Ignoring the fair-odds confidence.
  • Forgetting that the boost only applies if the runner wins.
  • Letting exchange liability get too high.
  • Continuing after the lay price has moved without recalculating.
