Bonus Bet SNR

Use Stallion to convert a racing bonus bet

Scenario

Say you have a bonus bet you want to use on a race.

The bonus stake is not returned if it wins, so Stallion's Bonus Bet (SNR) mode uses bonus-bet conversion math rather than promo-return settings.

Set up the race

Open the race and choose:

Mode
Bonus Bet (SNR)

Use BONUS when you are staking a bonus bet directly.

Stake

Enter the bonus bet stake.

Add the bookmaker where the bonus bet is available as an active bookmaker.

Pick a candidate

Start with EV, then check whether the lay stake, liability, and visible result split make sense for the bonus stake. If the conversion is not good enough, move on.

If the candidate is worth checking, confirm:

  • the bookmaker is where the bonus bet is available
  • the runner and race are correct
  • the back price still exists
  • the lay price and liquidity are still available
  • the lay liability is acceptable

The aim is not to pick the horse you think will win. The aim is to convert the bonus bet at a return you are happy with.

Place, save, and track

Once the live prices match the candidate closely enough:

  1. Place the bonus bet at the bookmaker.
  2. Place the exchange lay bet.
  3. Save the play with .
  4. Update the saved play if the odds or lay stake changed.
  5. Add it from Scratchpad to Tracker once the saved details match what you placed.

Check the bonus stake

Bonus Bet (SNR) only makes sense when the stake is not returned. If you are staking cash, use a different mode.

Common mistakes

  • Using a cash stake in Bonus Bet (SNR) mode.
  • Looking only at EV without checking the conversion mechanics.
  • Placing before checking lay liquidity.
  • Forgetting exchange liability.
  • Saving the play without updating moved prices.
