Bookmaker-Specific Value

Use Positive EV for one bookmaker or account

Scenario

Say you want value bets from one bookmaker only.

Maybe the account needs activity, maybe you are checking a specific book, or maybe you want to avoid books that have been poor to use.

Set up the filters

Open filters with Filters and go to Bookmakers.

Bookmakers

Select the bookmaker or bookmakers you want to include.

Exclude Bookmakers

Remove books you do not want to see.

Then tighten the rest of the setup if needed:

  • use leagues and markets you are comfortable betting
  • keep a minimum EV threshold
  • keep a sensible source count
  • use a time window where you can place cleanly

Pick a candidate

Start with EV and Kelly, then check whether the bet makes sense for the account.

If the account is sensitive, a slightly smaller edge with a normal-looking market may be better than a strange longshot or obscure market.

Use alternate bookmakers if the primary bookmaker price disappears and another eligible account still has a usable price.

Place, save, and track

Once the bookmaker price is available:

  1. Place the bookmaker bet.
  2. Save the play with if the displayed candidate still matches what you placed.
  3. Enter the stake you placed.
  4. Add it from Scratchpad to Tracker.

Common mistakes

  • Forgetting an excluded bookmaker is still hidden.
  • Taking a bet that does not fit the account just because EV is high.
  • Ignoring Kelly because the target bookmaker is the main goal.
  • Saving a candidate from one bookmaker after placing at another.
  • Not clearing bookmaker filters when switching workflows.
