Positive EV Alert

Create a focused value-bet alert

Scenario

Say you want value-bet alerts for mainstream markets, but only when the edge is worth checking quickly.

Set up the rule

Create a new alert and choose Positive EV.

Use filters like:

Fair odds source
Derived

Start with stronger fair-odds support before adding implied candidates.

Min EV

Set a threshold high enough to justify opening the bookmaker immediately.

Max EV

Use a cap if extreme edges are usually stale, illiquid, or not useful for your accounts.

Min count

Require enough source prices behind the fair line.

Time

Avoid events starting so soon that you cannot verify the market before it moves.

Delivery workflow

When an alert arrives:

  1. Open the delivery.
  2. Check the current bookmaker price and fair line.
  3. Confirm the event, market, selection, and odds still match.
  4. Use your own stake sizing before placing.
  5. Record the actual odds and stake if you place the bet.

Common mistakes

  • Treating the delivered EV as locked.
  • Ignoring weak fair-odds support.
  • Placing after the price moved below your threshold.
  • Letting one broad rule notify every small edge.
