How Alerts Work

An introduction to Alerts

Alerts

PuntPilot's scanner for saved opportunity rules. Alerts watches Positive EV, Middles, Radar, and Falling Odds filters and notifies you when matching candidates appear.

TL;DR

Alerts turns a tool setup into a background rule.

Use it to keep watch on the opportunities you care about, then open the delivery to check the current price, legs, and market before you act.

What Alerts watches

An alert rule has three core parts.

Source

The tool the rule scans: Positive EV, Middles, Radar, or Falling Odds.

Filters

The saved conditions that define what counts as a match, such as bookmakers, leagues, markets, EV, SR, SNR, time windows, or key bookmakers.

Destinations

Where PuntPilot should send matching opportunities, such as the in-app stream, browser push, or a webhook.

When the rule runs, PuntPilot asks the selected source for candidates matching the rule filters. New matches become deliveries.

What a delivery means

A delivery means PuntPilot found an opportunity that matched your rule at scan time.

It is not a bet slip. It is not a guarantee that every bookmaker still shows the same price. It is not a replacement for checking the live market before placing anything.

The delivery page is the place to re-open the opportunity, inspect the legs, and compare the current data against what was sent.

Supported sources

Positive EV

Use this for value-bet alerts where the bookmaker price appears better than the fair line.

Middles

Use this for middle, near-arb, and arb alerts where two opposing line-market legs create a return profile you want to inspect.

Radar

Use this for back-lay, dutching, arbitrage, mug-betting, and bonus-conversion setups.

Falling Odds

Use this for reference-price drops where an offer bookmaker may still be behind the wider or selected sharp market.

Each source keeps its own filter shape. An alert rule is not just "notify me about the current table"; it is a saved scanner with its own settings.

What to check when acting

When you open a delivery, PuntPilot rechecks the opportunity against current tool data and shows whether the alert still looks valid.

That recheck can show current options for the same legs, updated odds, metric movement, and whether the original setup is still available. For exchange legs, the delivery can also show the Betfair liquidity captured at the time of scrape.

Use that view as the handoff from notification to decision. Check the current prices, the required legs, any displayed exchange liquidity, and whether the stake still makes sense for your account before placing.

Speed still matters

Alerts help you find opportunities faster, and the delivery page helps you recheck them. Prices can still move between scans, notifications, and your own placement workflow.

What to do next

Next, set up destinations so rules have somewhere to send matches.
