Customization

Customizing Stallion to suit your betting preferences

Stallion can be customized from the main settings menu to better suit your betting preferences. You can navigate there by clicking the "Settings" button at the bottom of the PuntPilot sidebar.

All of our defaults are our recommended settings, but feel free to adjust them as you see fit.

After navigating to the "Stallion" tab, you will see several options for customization:

  • Preferred Fair Odds Source: When determining fair odds for EV calculations, we can either use devigged bookmaker odds or the lay odds from the best available exchange.
  • Market Efficiency: If you selected "Exchange" as your preferred fair odds source, you can adjust the market efficiency percentage. This represents how efficient the exchange market must be before it's used for EV calculations. If the exchange market does not meet the efficiency threshold, bookmaker odds will be used instead.
  • Preferred Fair Odds Method: Additive, Multipicative, Power or Shin. Learn more about these methods.
  • Odds Refresh Rate: How often Stallion refreshes odds data from the server.
  • Max Rows: How much data should be returned from the server at once.
  • Race Alert: Enable or disable a chime that plays a configurable number of seconds before the jump.

Additionally, options under the "Bookmakers" tab also affects how Stallion determines fair odds and EV. For each bookmaker, you can set:

  • Fair Odds Weighting: The weight given to each bookmaker when calculating the average devigged odds. Bookmakers with weights of 2 are counted twice, while those with weights of 0 are ignored entirely.
  • Retention: How much value you expect to retain from bonus bets placed with that bookmaker. Refer back the theory lesson if you're unsure why this impacts EV.
