Building an Entry

How to combine selections and read the builder

TL;DR

Add selections until the entry is complete, copy the exact combination into Dabble, then replace the standard All-In and Hedge payouts with the figures Dabble displays.

Judge the complete entry by fair chance and independent EV—not by the best-looking individual leg.

Build dynamically

Selections load immediately. Add three to create the first complete entry, then save it or continue building through Dabble's 12-selection maximum.

The payout milestones follow the number of selections in the builder. Every addition or removal updates the standard payout, fair-odds threshold, selection edge, fair chance, and complete-entry EV.

Use 3 selections when you prefer the higher hit rate. Five has the strongest standard per-selection All-In threshold. Continue beyond five only when the additional selections improve the complete entry rather than merely making the displayed multiplier larger.

Add selections

Use the plus button beside a candidate. Every size from three through twelve is a complete entry. The compact 3–5 milestone ladder expands to the full scale when you add a sixth selection.

Pick'Em Builder prevents:

  • opposite directions from the same market
  • more than one statistical market for the same player
  • adding more than twelve selections

It also checks whether the completed entry represents at least two distinct teams when that data is available. This is a useful warning, but it does not replace Dabble's final opposing-team eligibility check.

Read the builder

Each selected row shows its direction, line, event details, All-In edge, and Hedge edge against the current payouts.

The product cards show:

Offered payout

The multiplier currently entered in the builder.

Fair chance

The estimated probability that every selection wins, calculated by multiplying their fair probabilities.

Independent EV

The expected return of the complete entry under each product, before allowing for unknown correlation.

Any return

The chance that Hedge produces any payout. A return below 1x still loses part of the stake, so this is not the same as a profitable result.

Use Outcome Matrix to inspect every win-and-loss combination, its fair chance, and the return under both All-In and Hedge.

Enter the actual payouts

The builder uses Dabble's standard All-In multiplier and Hedge payout schedule for the current entry size.

Build the same entry in the Dabble app and check the payouts it actually offers. Replace any adjusted All-In multiplier or Hedge outcome payout in the corresponding product card. The comparison and outcome matrix update immediately.

Same-event selections

Selections from the same event can be related. Pick'Em Builder warns when an entry contains them.

That warning is not a correlation estimate. PuntPilot does not know Dabble's internal adjustment model, and an unchanged multiplier does not prove the outcomes are independent.

Final placement check

Before confirming in Dabble:

  1. Every projection and direction matches the builder.
  2. The entry has players from at least two opposing teams.
  3. PuntPilot contains the payouts Dabble actually shows.
  4. The complete independent EV is acceptable.
  5. Your stake can survive the variance of the current entry size.
